The summer reading book i chose was The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. This book is narrated by Hazel who is a cancer patient. In this novel the three main characters fight cancer. Hazel meets Augustus Waters who lost his leg from cancer. Hazel and Gus end up spending a lot of time together from reading a book, An Imperial Affliction, And later in the novel they visit the author in Amsterdam to get answers. Afterwards, Augustus dies and leaves an alternate ending to An Imperial Affliction for Hazel.
Although this book comes across as a teengage or young adult book i think most readers would like this book. I really enjoyed this book because it includes a little bit of everything. The book emphasizes cancer and Hazel's struggles with cancer, but at the same time includes happiness and humor. The main character (Hazel) can connect with teens while at the same time narrate sophistically. The narrator also talks about cancer and how to get past any challange that you have. I would give this book 5 stars because unlike a lot of books i really liked this one and it stood out to me.

This book seems like it would be very interesting but it would probably be very depressing I hope you enjoyed it.
