I am really enjoying this book so far. I have yet to see the movie but I have also heard good things about that. It took a while for me to get into the book but about halfway through i started to find it more enjoyable. At first the going back and forth from the past to the present seemed very confusing to me when I started. There are few chapters where it goes to Jacob in the Nursing home. In my opinion those chapters seem important. Jacob does not only have conflict in the past where he works in the circus but also in his dreaded nursing home. For example another resident at the nursing home, Mr. McGuinty claims he "carried water for elephants" which upsets Jacob tons because he knows the man is lying. Furthermore I see more and more character development which lets the reader become more involved in the book and enjoy it. The first half was slow but the book is starting to pick up more and more now. I would recommend this book to anyone. This book isn't directed towards anyone in specific. But if you like a book with some drama this one would be good. Even though I have not finished this book there are a lot of events building up to what I believe to turn into a huge problem.
